Built in 1896, the old Perry County Courthouse Museum is made of pressed yellow brick with trim of Bedford limestone. The courthouse was built to replace the first courthouse at Cannelton, which was in a house remodeled for the hasty move of the county seat from Rome in 1859. The building cost $30,000 which was raised by Cannelton citizens and given to the county. The Perry County Courthouse Museum is dedicated to the collection and preservation of local history and artifacts.

The TCPC Public Library offers the public an array of material for all ages. The library also has a public computer lab and a genealogy & local history department.

Tell City Chair Gallery & Museum, nestled in the heart of Tell City, Indiana, showcases the rich heritage of furniture craftsmanship that defines the region. With a collection spanning from antique chairs to intricate woodworking tools, the museum offers visitors a captivating journey through the evolution of chair making in America.

The Tell City Historical Society Museum is located near downtown Tell City, in the former Tell City Public Library building. The building is comprised of a Carnegie Library built in 1916 with an addition built-in 1966. In addition to over 3700 sq. ft. of display area, the museum includes a genealogy research library and meeting/audiovisual room. The Tell City Historical Society seeks to preserve the history of Tell City by collecting, displaying, and interpreting historical artifacts for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.

TCRA is a non-profit that sponsors and participates in various arts and crafts, music, theater, and other art-related events in our region. Our group of passionate and dedicated volunteers partner with local organizations, businesses, and communities to strengthen and connect people of all ages through local art activities and events.

Programs for people of all ages including cultural events, concerts, movie events, book signings, children’s programs, and genealogy workshops. The Perry County Public Library is a combination of the Tell City-Perry County Library, the Cannelton Public Library, and the Perry County Bookmobile.

The Salt Room is located at 1148 Main Street, Tell City, IN 47586. Their advanced and updated facilities include Himalayan salt, infrared saunas, and an oxygen bar therapy, ensuring an exceptional experience.
