Fall cleanup for residents of the town of Troy will take place Thursday & Friday October 18th & 19th. All items need to be curbside by 7 AM Thursday Oct 18th. There will be no backtracking to pick up items. Call 812-547-7501 with any questions.
October 19-20th will be the annual Route 66 yard sales from Troy through Tell City, Cannelton, Rocky Point, Rome, Derby, Dexter, Magnet, and Oriole. Since its inception a decade ago, the event has become a popular fall-tour attraction. Those wanting to participate but who do not live along the route can call the Perry County Visitors Bureau (812-547-7933) for locations where the public can sell their merchandise.
The Harry G. Meyers American Legion Post 142 hosts bingo every Friday night. The public is invited to come and play!
Twilight Towers will be having a Biscuits & Gravy Fundraiser on Saturday Oct 20th in the dining room at 1648 10th St Tell City, starting at 7:00 AM until finished. A full order will be $3.50 including a drink; a half order will be $2.00 including a drink. There will also be a bake sale & Quilt Fundraiser. Quilt tickets are $1.00 a piece or six for $5.00. It is open for the public.
Do you like to run? Do you like to walk? If so, come and join the Footprints Walking & Running club every Saturday morning. The club meets at EverBody's Fun & Fitness Center and then takes off from there. This event is open to the public.
The Halcyon Farm will have a free preview weekend during Shubael Little Pioneer Village & Landmark & Historical Place Fall Festival. The Halcyon Hill Farm is located less than one mile from Shubael Little Pioneer Village on Highway 66. The free weekend will have events running Saturday Oct 20th from 11 AM - 6 PM, including a 7 PM free outdoor showing of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".
