Welding Instructor

As an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College, you will create a positive learning environment that supports student success. You will provide instruction in your field of expertise, using the College’s common syllabi and resources. This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about teaching and making a difference in students’ lives while maintaining flexibility in their schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach assigned in-person classes at the Tell City campus and facilitate student learning

• Provide a syllabus aligned with course requirements and follow prescribed content

• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records as per College policy

• Use appropriate technology (e.g., Blackboard, PowerPoint) to enhance instruction

• Be available to students outside class to provide support and answer questions

• Address student concerns professionally and collaborate with program leadership as needed

• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and College community

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of current technologies relevant to area of instruction

• Must be located in or able to travel to Tell City, IN to teach in person

• Preferred: Prior teaching experience in higher education
