About the Role
The Store Key Holder is a full-time, hourly management position within the Retail Operations team. This role assists the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations, team supervision, and operational excellence. The Key Holder also plays an important role in developing employees, clients, and volunteers in support of Goodwill’s mission.
Key Responsibilities

Assist store leadership in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining clean, safe facilities

Support inventory management using data-driven performance insights
-
Oversee product logistics including sorting, pricing, stocking, and use of equipment such as pallet jacks
-
Ensure accurate cash handling, reporting, daily deposits, and audits
-
Train, supervise, and support team members while identifying opportunities for growth and development
-
Assist with scheduling, supply management, branding standards, security, and donation processing
-
Communicate effectively with team members and participate in store meetings and Goodwill events
-
Perform janitorial tasks and maintain a positive experience for customers and donors
Qualifications
-
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations and abilities
-
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
-
Reliable transportation
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach, push, and pull

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently; team lift or equipment used for heavier items

Work performed primarily indoors with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures

Exposure to occupational allergens such as dust, animal hair/dander, perfumes, and mold

Moderate noise level
