Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver

About the Role

As a Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver, you will operate a truck equipped with a concrete mixer and deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites safely and efficiently. This position plays an important role in supporting construction projects across the Ohio River Valley while representing Mulzer Crushed Stone in a professional and customer-focused manner.

You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, with opportunities to assist customers on-site and contribute to smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, concrete, and water

• Transport ready-mix concrete to job sites for unloading

• Operate truck controls to discharge concrete into designated areas

• Assemble and position concrete chutes as needed

• Clean truck and mixer after deliveries to prevent buildup

• Inspect equipment including tires, lights, brakes, and fluid levels

• Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery documentation

• Follow all DOT rules, company policies, and safety procedures

• Drive safely and courteously at all times

• Assist customers with placing and spreading concrete when needed

• Keep equipment clean and in proper working condition

• Identify and report basic equipment or plant issues

• Be punctual and report to job sites ready to work at scheduled start times

• Work nights and weekends when required

• Support team members and supervisors with additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Class B CDL required

• Ability to pass DOT physical and substance testing

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and responsibly

• Professional demeanor with coworkers, supervisors, and customers

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, dust, fumes, and vibration

• Ability to maintain focus and awareness in an active construction environment
