Quarry Operations Engineer

As a Quarry Operations Engineer, you’ll play a key leadership role in managing day-to-day operations and long-term planning for one of Mulzer Crushed Stone’s premier quarry sites. You’ll develop and execute strategic production plans, lead capital improvement projects, coordinate production teams, and champion safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short-, mid-, and long-term mine and production plans

• Manage quarry operations including drilling, blasting, and hauling

• Oversee equipment utilization and process improvements

• Collaborate with Quality Control to meet production goals and quality standards

• Lead and train production staff and ensure a culture of safety and accountability

• Assist with MSHA inspections and compliance efforts

• Use engineering software to model production planning and project improvements

• Mentor junior engineers and support professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering or a related field preferred

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in mining, engineering, or operations required

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

• Experience with MS Office and CAD tools preferred

• Physical ability to work in a quarry environment and lift over 25 lbs

• Must be available for travel and occasional nights/weekends as needed
