As a Quality Technician (CMM Operator) at Parker Aerospace, you’ll play a critical role in our quality assurance department. Your primary focus will be conducting precision inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other measurement tools to validate complex aerospace components. This role is ideal for someone with experience in metrology and GD&T who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CMM using PC-DMIS (CAD++) software and Measure Max for layouts, first articles, and in-process inspections.

  • Interpret and validate blueprints, collaborating with design engineers to ensure accuracy.

  • Conduct detailed inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

  • Record and communicate inspection results, non-conformances, and recommendations for tooling adjustments.

  • Support customer communications and product/process transfers.

  • Serve as a mentor to new hires and collaborate with suppliers on inspection processes.

  • Assist with equipment maintenance and perform statistical capability studies.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or related experience preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in general manufacturing or quality inspection.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9000 preferred.

  • Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and CMM operation.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and operate powered equipment.

  • Willingness to work variable schedules, including weekends if needed.
