The Production Welder plays a key role in supporting Parker Meggitt’s manufacturing operations by performing routine welding, fitting, and fabrication activities that meet safety, quality, and production standards. This position works on aluminum and other metal components used in aerospace applications. Training on aluminum welding is provided, and after certification, you will perform production welding tasks independently.
This is an afternoon shift opportunity, scheduled Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with potential for additional hours, nights, or weekends based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations for various metal fabrications

Assemble ferrous and non-ferrous components using appropriate tools, equipment, and processes

Interpret and follow mechanical drawings, weld prints, and technical specifications
-
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
-
Contribute to a safe work environment aligned with company safety goals

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize processes
-
Support the team with additional tasks or production needs as assigned
-
Demonstrate regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
Qualifications
Education & Experience
You meet this role’s requirements with any of the following:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
0–2 years of welding experience, or
-
Completion of a welding certificate, technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent training program
Skills & Knowledge
-
Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes
-
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld prints
-
Understanding of basic math
-
Ability to recognize and resolve routine issues in your work area
-
Strong organizational and communication skills
Physical Requirements
-
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
-
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull for extended periods
-
Use hands and fingers for detailed, repetitive work
-
Communicate effectively with team members and internal partners
-
Wear required PPE for the full duration of the shift
Other Requirements

Must pass pre-employment drug testing

Must meet U.S. export compliance and/or government contracting eligibility requirements
