Production Operator

About the Role

As a Production Team Member, you will support daily manufacturing operations by running machines, inspecting parts, monitoring production results, and ensuring products meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment. Team members support all production areas as needed and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks safely and efficiently as directed by the Production Supervisor

• Pack finished goods into correct packaging according to specifications

• Monitor and record hourly production results, including machine status

• Immediately report mechanical, safety, or production issues to group leader or supervisor

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Work across all areas of production as needed

• Measure materials to ensure parts are within tolerance

• Use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and go/no-go gauges

• Inspect equipment and perform required TQM to maintain machines

• Follow standardized work procedures for machine operation and part inspection

• Verify product quality and ensure defective parts are identified and contained

• Follow stop-call-wait procedures when encountering abnormal conditions

• Support efficient machine operation, equipment upkeep, and product packaging

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to read, write, and follow written procedures

• Excellent organization and attention to detail

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Dependable and able to follow instructions

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED

• Previous manufacturing experience

Requirements

• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Lift up to 25 lbs

• Stand for long periods of time

• Bend, stoop, and lift parts to chest height
