Personal Banker Associate I

As a Personal Banker Associate I at Fifth Third Bank in Tell City, Indiana, you’ll begin with a 4–8 week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in operations and sales. Upon certification, you will move into a consultative role where your focus will be to proactively identify customer needs and offer tailored financial products and services. You’ll process teller transactions, engage customers through lobby and community interactions, and collaborate with business partners to deliver holistic financial solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales techniques and financial needs assessments to identify appropriate solutions for customers.

• Develop deep knowledge of retail banking products and services for both consumers and small businesses.

• Set appointments and perform outreach using marketing tools to drive financial reviews.

• Cross-sell banking services and participate in community outreach efforts.

• Build strong relationships with internal partners such as Mortgage, Small Business, and Investment teams.

• Meet or exceed customer satisfaction and individual/team sales goals.

• Provide support and guidance to Customer Service Representatives as needed.

• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism while handling customer inquiries and transactions.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to customer service, lending, and fraud prevention.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• College degree, relevant work experience, or a combination of both.

• Experience in financial services preferred.

• Strong sales aptitude with a customer-focused mindset.

• Proficiency with basic math and credit/financial analysis.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to learn and apply banking policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.

• Must be able to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
