At DaVita, we’re not just providing dialysis—we’re building a community of care. We are currently seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for our Tell City, Indiana outpatient dialysis center. What You’ll Do:
As a PCT, you’ll be a crucial part of a multidisciplinary care team supporting individuals with end-stage renal disease. You’ll receive paid, hands-on training, and once certified, you’ll deliver compassionate, direct care during dialysis treatments. In this role, you will:

• Spend most of your day providing one-on-one patient care in a clinical setting

• Monitor patients and record vital signs before, during, and after treatments

• Set up and operate dialysis machines, ensuring safety and hygiene at all times

• Educate patients about kidney health and dialysis procedures

• Support and collaborate with a cross-functional care team that includes nurses, dietitians, and social workers

• Build long-term relationships with patients who receive treatment three times per week

What to Expect:

• No previous dialysis experience required—we provide full training

• You may float to multiple clinics during and after training

• Flexible scheduling is required—including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Must be comfortable working around blood and needles and standing for extended periods

• Shift lengths may exceed 12 hours—our work ends only when patient care is complete

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Passion for caring for others and interest in healthcare

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-based environment

• Healthcare experience a plus (e.g., CNA, CMA, phlebotomy, or dialysis certification)

• Comfortable mixing dialysis solutions (acid/bicarb) and managing equipment

• Willingness to travel within a territory for training and coverage as needed
