Paramedic

As a PRN Paramedic, you’ll provide advanced pre-hospital care and transport to patients in emergency situations throughout the Tell City, Indiana area. This position is essential to our EMS team, ensuring patients receive expert, immediate care during transport. You will operate under a flexible schedule, responding to calls as needed and collaborating with hospital staff to support patient care continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced life support (ALS) and emergency care in accordance with Indiana Paramedic protocols.

• Safely operate EMS vehicles and ensure all equipment is ready and in working order.

• Conduct patient assessments and implement appropriate treatment plans.

• Work collaboratively with EMTs, nurses, and physicians during patient transfers.

• Accurately document patient care and complete all reports in a timely manner.

• Participate in continuing education and mandatory certification programs.

• Maintain readiness to respond to calls and assist in improving EMS procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.

• Current Paramedic certification in Indiana and National Registry Paramedic certification.

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

• Current certifications in BLS (CPR), ACLS, and PALS.

• Minimum age: 18 years.

• Preferred: Previous experience in EMS or emergency healthcare.

• Completion of a minimum 80-hour preceptorship program (or longer as needed).

• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively under physical and emotional pressure.
