Oncology RN

As an Oncology RN at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, Indiana, you’ll play a pivotal role in administering cancer treatments and supporting patients and their families through every stage of care. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering chemotherapy, monitoring patient responses, and making timely, independent clinical decisions. This PRN position is ideal for an experienced and chemo-competent RN who values flexibility and a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and related oncology treatments safely and in accordance with protocols.

• Monitor and assess patients for adverse reactions and promptly report or act on changes in condition.

• Collaborate with the oncology care team to provide holistic, patient-centered care.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

• Educate patients and families about treatments, side effects, and supportive care measures.

• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.

• Use safe lifting and transfer techniques in patient care settings.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Current RN license in the state of Indiana.

• Current CPR certification.

• Chemo competent and experienced in oncology care.

• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Physical stamina to handle walking, standing, and patient transfers as needed.
