As an Occupational Health Nurse at Waupaca Foundry’s Tell City facility, you will play a vital role in delivering care for job-related injuries and illnesses, supporting safety initiatives, and promoting employee health. You will work collaboratively with safety, environmental, and management teams to assess workplace hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of health and safety. This night-shift position (approx. 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM) is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented nursing professional who values proactive health management and employee advocacy.
Key Responsibilities

Provide first aid, emergency treatment, follow-up, and referral care for job-related injuries and illnesses

Collaborate with safety and environmental departments to identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions

Facilitate training programs for First Responders, Emergency Teams, and occupational health topics

Coordinate drug/alcohol testing, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and health screenings

Maintain accurate employee medical records and compliance with OSHA, industrial hygiene, and company standards

Assist with Workers Compensation case management and cost containment strategies

Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and regulatory audits

Support ergonomics initiatives and employee wellness programs
Qualifications

Current state license as an LPN or RN (Indiana)

CPR/AED certified

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, policies, and procedural manuals

Strong written and oral communication skills, including report writing

Intermediate computer proficiency preferred

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively

Prior experience in occupational health, safety, or industrial nursing preferred
