We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. This position is responsible for providing administrative support in a clinical setting, ensuring the smooth operation of daily front office activities. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a positive, patient-focused attitude.

This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure and frequent interruptions while maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor. The ability to work well with diverse individuals, including patients, families, and hospital staff, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and data entry in the computer system.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as needed.
  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays.
  • Provide administrative support to medical staff, including scanning, faxing, and filing documents.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Handle public contact with discretion and professionalism, reflecting credibility to the facility.
  • Perform additional clerical tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical receptionist training preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, medical office, or clinic preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer systems (experience with medical software is a plus).
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to lift 20+ pounds and perform general office duties, including using computers, telephones, copiers, and fax machines.
