We are currently hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at our Tell City, Indiana facility. This role is critical in supporting production by keeping machinery operating efficiently and responding quickly to maintenance issues in a high-performance environment.

Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment across the facility. This includes performing preventative maintenance, supporting installations, and making mechanical adjustments to improve operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs promptly

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime

• Adjust, fabricate, or install components as needed

• Follow all safety protocols and successfully complete required safety training

• Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6-S housekeeping program

• Utilize Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs) and process control documentation

• Perform basic construction or facility repair work as assigned

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

• Education or experience in a maintenance-related field, or actively pursuing a related degree

• Proficiency in:

  • Welding

  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics

  • Blueprint reading

  • Fabrication and fasteners

  • Power transmission and machine repair

• Solid work history and positive work attitude

• Effective problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and adapt to a flexible schedule

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
