About the Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance team member at Waupaca Foundry, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
This role supports a modern, heavy-industrial facility and requires flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidates may also be pursuing or have completed education in a maintenance-related field.
Key Responsibilities

Complete all required safety training and comply with departmental safety policies
-
Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6-S Program (housekeeping and organization)
-
Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs)
-
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance
-
Make necessary machinery adjustments to support efficient operations
-
Perform fabrication, machine repair, equipment installation, and basic construction tasks as needed
-
Maintain equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications & Technical Skills
-
Education, equivalent experience, or actively pursuing a degree in a maintenance-related field

Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift

Solid and dependable work history

Strong oral communication skills

Ability to understand and follow instructions

Strong problem-solving skills

Positive work attitude with the ability to work independently
