About the Role
The Mechanical Maintenance position plays a critical role in maintaining reliable operations within Waupaca Foundry’s advanced manufacturing facility. This role requires strong technical skills in equipment repair, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift is required.
Key Responsibilities

Complete all required safety training and comply with departmental safety policies and guidelines

Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6S housekeeping program
-
Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs)
-
Make necessary mechanical adjustments to ensure efficient equipment operation
-
Perform maintenance-related tasks including fabrication, machine repair, equipment installation, and basic construction work as assigned
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Education, equivalent experience, or actively pursuing a degree in a maintenance-related field

Solid work history with strong dependability and responsibility
-
Good oral communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Strong problem-solving skills and positive work attitude
-
Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible work schedule
Technical Proficiency Required:

Welding
-
Hydraulics and pneumatics

Fabrication and fasteners
-
Blueprint reading
-
Power transmission repair
-
Machine repair
