Mechanical and Electrical Instructor

As an adjunct faculty member specializing in mechanical and electrical instruction at Ivy Tech Tell City, you will create a positive, engaging learning environment that helps students achieve their educational goals. You will deliver instruction using College-provided syllabi and ensure student progress through effective teaching and assessment. This role is ideal for experienced professionals ready to inspire the next generation of skilled workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach assigned in-person courses, facilitating hands-on learning in mechanical and electrical subjects

• Provide a syllabus aligned with the College and program standards

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress

• Use appropriate instructional technology (e.g., Blackboard, PowerPoint)

• Be available to support students outside of class time

• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom

• Collaborate with program leadership to address student concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of directly related work experience in the mechanical or electrical field

• Ability to provide in-person instruction at the Tell City, IN campus

• Preferred: Previous teaching experience at a post-secondary level and/or SACA gold certification
