The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads a team of manufacturing engineers and oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of production processes, equipment, and systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance across the manufacturing site.
As a key member of site leadership, you will guide major process-improvement initiatives, coordinate multidisciplinary project plans, engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and manage capital budgets. Key Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you will:
Manufacturing Process Oversight

Lead planning and execution of manufacturing process design, tooling, and equipment improvements

Manage project portfolios, timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration
-
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and internal policies
Process Improvement & Innovation
-
Develop and implement strategies that improve throughput, reduce cost, and enhance product quality
-
Lead site-wide continuous improvement efforts and cross-functional teams
-
Identify opportunities for new technologies, automation, and system enhancements
Team Leadership

Mentor and develop engineering staff, providing coaching and ongoing performance feedback
-
Ensure employees receive proper training and have the tools needed to succeed

Assign work, manage priorities, and support team development
Manufacturing Systems & Capital Planning

Optimize use of manufacturing systems, metrics, and data
-
Lead capital equipment planning, budgeting, and oversight
-
Manage resource allocation and monitor departmental spending
Supplier & Internal Collaboration

Partner with Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, Product Engineering, Program Design, Supply Chain, and Operations

Support development of specifications, product parameters, and technical solutions
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)

5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience

Advanced degree preferred
-
Advanced technical knowledge and ability to support complex problem solving
Skills & Abilities

Strong project management and strategic planning abilities

Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others

Knowledge of manufacturing systems, process flow optimization, and cost-reduction strategies

Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook)

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Physical & Mental Requirements

Primarily a seated, office-based role requiring frequent use of computers and communication tools

Occasional standing or walking
