Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer at ATTC Manufacturing in Tell City, Indiana, you’ll play a pivotal role in diagnosing equipment issues, designing solutions, and enhancing the performance of our production systems. Your primary focus will be on engineering improvements, reverse-engineering components, and supporting both short- and long-term projects alongside the maintenance team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who enjoys problem-solving and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve and modify existing machinery to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Design new components and systems to meet evolving production goals.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.

• Assist maintenance staff during equipment breakdowns and rebuilds.

• Design and build electrical cabinets based on project needs.

• Develop AutoCAD drawings and mechanical/electrical schematics.

• Contribute to cutting slide designs, rebuild schedules, and inventory organization.

• Present project updates and outcomes to stakeholders.

• Support company goals by participating in any related engineering duties.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and interpreting mechanical/electrical schematics.

• Experience in metal fabrication (milling, lathe, CNC, welding, grinding).

• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and modification (Fanuc, Omron, Mitsubishi).

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.

• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently or in teams.
