Landscape Technician

About the Role

The Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of LHDC properties across Crawford, Dubois, Harrison, Perry, Spencer, and Warrick Counties. This role includes outdoor grounds work during the growing season and indoor maintenance support during inclement weather or winter months. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and comfortable interacting with residents and the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, and weed control

• Maintain landscaping equipment and tools

• Travel to multiple LHDC properties as needed

• Assist with general maintenance tasks during rainy or winter months, including:

  • Cleaning and preparing units for rental

  • Light plumbing and carpentry

  • Painting and minor repairs

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and professional appearance at all assigned properties

• Work courteously and professionally with residents, clients, and the public

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience or training in grounds maintenance or residential maintenance preferred

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required

• Ability to travel locally and out-of-area as needed

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable performing physical labor in outdoor and indoor environments
