Head Start Birth-5 is seeking a passionate Instructional Coach to provide practice-based coaching and professional development to our education staff. In this role, you will facilitate reflective learning, strengthen developmentally appropriate practices, and ensure continuous program improvement. You’ll work closely with staff and leadership through classroom observations, one-on-one coaching, and group training sessions to help deliver the highest-quality early learning experience for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized coaching and group training for education staff.

  • Guide reflective practices to enhance classroom strategies and teacher effectiveness.

  • Conduct classroom observations and assess program needs in collaboration with supervisors.

  • Assist in creating professional development plans for staff.

  • Promote a culture of safety by following program health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social/Family/Human Services, or a related field required.

  • Experience: Prior experience working with adults in an educational setting preferred.

  • Additional Requirements: Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing regulations, including background checks, drug screening, physical exam, and annual TB test.
