About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Perry County Memorial Hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of hospital rooms, public areas, and equipment. You’ll follow daily cleaning routines and respond to special requests while adhering to health and safety protocols. This role is ideal for someone with great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, public areas, offices, and restrooms.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, and linens.
• Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.
• Respond to requests for cleaning or room readiness in a timely manner.
• Follow all hospital policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to three months of housekeeping experience or related training.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Flexibility to work in varied conditions and occasionally work irregular hours.
