Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional climate control solutions across commercial and residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help create comfortable environments while supporting building automation systems and mechanical systems. Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, ventilation fans, and mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, equipment malfunctions, plumbing issues, and mechanical system failures with precision.
  • Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to improve efficiency and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Conduct system inspections using hand tools and advanced diagnostic equipment; identify opportunities for HVAC design improvements or upgrades.
  • Repair building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) components to ensure seamless operation.
  • Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate clearly with clients about repairs or system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards.
  • Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for transportation between job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Support property maintenance activities by coordinating with property managers to optimize HVAC system performance across multiple sites.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in construction with a focus on mechanical systems repair and installation.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, refrigeration cycles, electrical diagnostics, and plumbing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance procedures, equipment troubleshooting, and building automation controls.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems including wiring diagrams and electrical diagnostics tools.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC/R certifications is highly preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools for complex repairs or installations.
  • Customer service skills that enable clear communication with clients about technical issues and solutions.
  • Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to boiler operation or property maintenance are advantageous.
