About the Role

This is an entry-level manufacturing position for individuals joining Waupaca Foundry in a General Foundry role. New hires are assigned to a production or service department where they will receive training to develop the skills, knowledge, and work pace needed to advance into department-specific job classifications.

This role requires working night shift, as well as weekends and/or mandatory overtime. All General Foundry assignments are considered heavy industrial and repetitive in nature, making this position best suited for individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, and motivated to build a long-term career in manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all required safety training and comply with departmental safety policies

  • Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs)

  • Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6-S Program (housekeeping and organization)

  • Successfully complete training related to ISO 14001 Environmental Certification

  • Maintain a work pace that supports on-time delivery goals

  • Operate hand tools, machines, and other production equipment

  • Visually inspect products for quality and defects

  • Lift materials up to 50 pounds as required

  • Solid and reliable work history

  • Positive work attitude and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime


Work Environment & Hiring Process

  • Repetitive tasks with physical demands

  • Standing, lifting, and machine operation required
