Food Service Worker

About the Role

As a Food Service Worker with Morrison Healthcare, you’ll help prepare, serve, and support food service operations in a healthcare setting. This role is essential to creating a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff by ensuring meals are prepared safely, served efficiently, and delivered with care.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in cleanliness and consistency, and wants to be part of a mission-driven organization right here in Perry County.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform food prep tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients

• Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes and production standards

• Carry pans, trays, and kettles safely between work areas

• Store food properly following labeling, dating, rotation, and food safety guidelines

• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils

• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment

• Follow approved recipes and portion control standards

• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner

• Address customer concerns and communicate issues to supervisors

• Follow company service, sanitation, safety, and inventory procedures

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing experience required

• Ability to follow instructions and food safety guidelines

• Strong teamwork and customer service skills

• Dependable and punctual

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull kitchen items safely

• Ability to work in a kitchen and healthcare environment

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
