The Employment and Training Advisor Level 2 plays a key role in helping clients achieve personal and professional growth through education, workforce training, and job placement. This position focuses on individualized career development, case management, and community engagement. The Advisor will assess client needs, develop employment plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful outcomes aligned with JobWorks’ mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client assessments to determine skills, interests, and service needs.

  • Develop and implement Individual Employment Plans outlining career goals, program services, and training pathways.

  • Coordinate job search and employability workshops, including resume writing, interviewing, and networking skills.

  • Counsel clients on job readiness, education, and life-support services, ensuring all documentation complies with federal and state regulations.

  • Maintain accurate case files and data entry in JobWorks’ information system.

  • Collaborate with employers, community partners, and educational institutions to develop opportunities for client placement and training.

  • Provide follow-up services to evaluate client progress and job retention.

  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff as needed.

  • Represent JobWorks at community events, presentations, and outreach initiatives to promote workforce programs.

  • Prepare and submit monthly reports and other documentation as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Experience: Prior experience in case management, workforce development, or social services preferred.

  • Bilingual Preferred: Spanish/English fluency is highly valued.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

    • Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.

    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and handle confidential information appropriately.
