As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery in our manufacturing facility. You will also support special projects and ensure machinery operates efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete safety training and comply with all departmental safety policies and guidelines.
- Participate in the Waupaca Foundry 6-S Program (housekeeping).
- Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs) effectively.
- Perform electrical adjustments to machinery to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct conduit work, wiring, troubleshooting, machine repair, and panel building.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Education or equivalent experience in an electrical-related field, or actively pursuing a degree in the field.
- Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Solid work history demonstrating dependability and responsibility.
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Problem-solving skills and a positive work attitude.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and work independently without supervision.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Conduit bending
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Project layout and troubleshooting
- Open-loop and closed-loop control systems
- Robotic troubleshooting and programming
- Electrical schematics interpretation
- Welding
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Military, or Industrial fields preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of a selection process that includes interviews, aptitude tests, reference verification, pre-employment drug screening, a pre-employment physical, and a job function test.
