Electrical Maintenance

About the Role

As an Electrical Maintenance team member, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This role supports a modern, heavy-industrial facility and involves hands-on electrical work, preventative maintenance, and support for special projects.

This position requires flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift and is well-suited for individuals with strong technical skills who enjoy problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all required safety training and comply with departmental safety policies

• Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6-S Program (housekeeping and organization)

• Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs)

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

• Make electrical adjustments to machinery to support efficient operations

• Install and repair conduit and wiring systems

• Troubleshoot and repair machinery and electrical panels

• Build panels and support electrical aspects of special projects

• Perform additional electrical maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Education, equivalent experience, or actively pursuing a degree in an electrical-related field

• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift

• Solid and dependable work history

• Strong oral communication skills

• Ability to understand and follow instructions

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Positive work attitude and ability to work independently

Required Technical Proficiencies:

• Conduit bending

• Hydraulics and pneumatics

• Project layout

• Electrical troubleshooting

• Open-loop and closed-loop control systems

• Robotic troubleshooting and programming

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics

• Welding

Education & Hiring Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Industrial Technology, Military training, or equivalent preferred
