Electrical Maintenance

About the Role

The Electrical Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining and improving electrical systems that support continuous manufacturing operations at Waupaca Foundry’s Tell City facility. This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, preventative maintenance expertise, and the ability to support special projects while working in a fast-paced, heavy industrial setting. Candidates must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Successfully complete all required safety training and comply with departmental safety policies and guidelines

• Participate in Waupaca Foundry’s 6S housekeeping program

• Utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs)

• Make electrical adjustments to machinery to ensure efficient and reliable operations

• Perform conduit installation, wiring, troubleshooting, machine repair, panel building, and other electrical maintenance tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Military, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Education, equivalent experience, or actively pursuing a degree in an electrical-related field

• Solid work history with strong dependability and responsibility

• Good oral communication skills and ability to follow instructions

• Strong problem-solving skills and positive work attitude

• Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible work schedule

Technical Proficiency Required:

• Conduit bending

• Hydraulics and pneumatics

• Project layout

• Electrical troubleshooting

• Open-loop and closed-loop control systems

• Robotic troubleshooting and programming

• Electrical schematics

• Welding

Candidates selected for consideration must successfully complete interviews, aptitude testing, reference verification, a pre-employment drug screen, a pre-employment physical, and a job function test.
