Donation Attendant

As a Donation Attendant at Evansville Goodwill Industries in Tell City, IN, you’ll play a pivotal role in the success of our donated goods operation. Your primary focus will be greeting donors with excellent customer service, accepting and sorting donations according to policy, and supporting the processing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, being part of a mission-driven team, and interacting with the community in a positive way.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet donors and customers warmly while providing prompt assistance.

• Accept, sort, and track donations according to Goodwill policies and standards.

• Issue accurate donation receipts and maintain records of incoming donations.

• Support merchandise processing through stemming, hanging, pricing, and stocking.

• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks to assist with moving donations safely.

• Perform light janitorial duties to keep the donation area clean and organized.

• Assist in training team members, clients, and volunteers as needed.

• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, including maintaining clear fire exits and reporting injuries promptly.

• Maintain dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Must pass drug test and criminal background check.

• Ability to multi-task, follow guidelines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

• Customer service experience is a plus.
