Direct Support Professional

As a DSP, you will provide direct care and assistance to individuals by following individualized support and behavior plans. You will encourage independence, ensure safety, and support individuals with daily living activities while fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with achieving personal goals and daily independence.

• Support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility (as applicable).

• Drive individuals to appointments, programs, recreation events, and community activities.

• Accurately complete medication records, counts, and documentation.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, assisting individuals with housekeeping tasks.

• Follow safety and emergency protocols while using adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, etc.) when necessary.

• Complete required trainings, including CPR/First Aid (provided).

• Provide companionship, encouragement, and positive daily support.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and dependable transportation.

• Ability to pass a drug screen and comprehensive background check.

• CPR/First Aid certification (training provided).

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., sit/stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and supportive attitude.

Schedule (Rotating Weeks):

• Week 1: Sunday 8am–8pm, Wednesday 8am–4pm, Thursday 3pm–10:30pm, Friday 12pm–8pm

• Week 2: Wednesday 8am–4pm, Thursday 3pm–10:30pm, Friday 12pm–8pm, Saturday 8am–8pm
