As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at SIRS, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily living activities, personal growth, and community involvement. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about supporting others, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centered support to help individuals achieve their personal goals and increase independence

Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and use of adaptive equipment (as applicable)

Support individuals in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment

Drive individuals to appointments, work, recreational activities, and community outings
-
Accurately document care, medication records, and other required information
-
Complete required trainings and follow all safety and emergency procedures
Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age
-
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation
-
Ability to pass drug screening and comprehensive background check
-
CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
-
Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs., grasp objects, and sit or stand for long periods
