We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled CNC Machine Operator 2 to join our advanced manufacturing team at Parker Meggitt in Troy, IN. In this full-time, second-shift role, you’ll work with 3-axis vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines to produce precision components for aerospace systems. From program editing and tool setup to performing first article inspections and quality checks, this is an opportunity to grow your career in a clean, well-equipped facility driven by innovation and excellence.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Overtime: Voluntary when available
Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC vertical and horizontal mills.

Load NC programs, adjust offsets, and maintain/replace cutting tools.

Perform first article inspections (FAIs) and record dimensional and serial data.

Use indicators, micrometers, and calipers to align fixturing accurately.

Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process specifications.

Use tool-setting equipment and calibration tools to ensure quality.

Document in-process QA data electronically and maintain traceability.

Operate material handling equipment (hoists, cranes, tow motors, etc.).

Perform 6S and housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe, clean work environment.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams for continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or formal machining training preferred.

Experience: At least 1 year of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring instruments

Familiar with Fanuc and Siemens controls

Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills

Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, bending) and wear PPE throughout shift

Strong verbal and written communication and team collaboration skills
