As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Indiana, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping residents regain independence and improve daily function under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Your primary focus will be delivering individualized treatment sessions and documenting progress, while collaborating closely with patients, families, and healthcare staff. This part-time position is ideal for someone passionate about rehabilitation and patient care in a senior living setting.
Key Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans created by Occupational Therapists to improve residents’ functional skills and quality of life.

Lead patients through therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Accurately document patient progress and observations; report to supervising therapist.

Educate residents and families on home exercises and adaptive strategies to encourage continued independence.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive care.

Contribute to patient evaluations by sharing insights on treatment effectiveness.

Maintain a safe and encouraging environment that promotes recovery.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Active and valid OTA licensure or certification in the state of Indiana.

Current CPR certification preferred.
-
0–1 year of experience in a clinical or senior care setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
