Certified Nursing Assistant

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Perry County Memorial Hospital, you will assist patients with daily living activities, support the nursing team, and help maintain a clean and organized patient care environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability in high-stress situations, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under nursing supervision

• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, feeding, and mobility

• Monitor and report patient condition changes to nursing staff

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Support a clean, safe, and organized patient environment

• Follow safe lifting and transfer techniques

• Assist with clerical tasks as assigned

• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Current Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant certification

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Previous CNA or clerical experience preferred (orientation provided)

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, and lift patients using safe techniques

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
