As a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, Indiana, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients and nursing staff within the clinical team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring basic health indicators, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and toileting needs.

  • Support nursing staff by measuring vital signs and reporting changes in patient condition.

  • Maintain accurate records and assist with clerical duties as needed.

  • Use proper body mechanics when lifting, turning, and transferring patients.

  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in patient rooms and common areas.

  • Respond promptly to patient calls and assist in meeting their needs.

  • Participate in orientation and training through our preceptorship program.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Active Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant license.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability under stress.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift patients safely.
