Behavioral Health Specialist

Centurion is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Branchville Correctional Facility in Branchville, Indiana. This full-time position uses structured recreational and social activities to help incarcerated individuals build life skills, improve coping strategies, and meet behavioral health treatment goals. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting patient rehabilitation and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead therapeutic activities that promote social, emotional, and behavioral growth

• Help individuals develop and strengthen adaptive, independent living, and problem-solving skills

• Work closely with clinicians and medical staff to ensure coordinated care and treatment

• Maintain documentation in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements

Available Shift

• Full-time, Monday–Friday

• 40 hours/week during daytime hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or a related human services field required

• NCCAP certification preferred

• Completion of a clinical internship required OR two years of relevant paid experience if internship was not part of the academic program

• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and background check
