Centurion Health, a trusted provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction, is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavioral Health Specialist for a full-time opportunity at Branchville Correctional Facility in Branchville, Indiana.

About the Role:
As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will use recreational, social, and skill-building activities to help incarcerated individuals develop the skills they need for adaptive and independent living. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary treatment team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting patient treatment plans and fostering meaningful behavioral improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement recreational and social activities to support skill development and problem-solving

• Collaborate with treatment team members to achieve patient treatment objectives

• Foster social interaction, independence, and adaptive behavior among patients

• Participate in creating individualized patient activity plans

• Document activities and patient participation in accordance with treatment guidelines

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all participants

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or a closely related field required

• National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) certification preferred

• Completion of an approved clinical internship at an accredited rehabilitation center or hospital required

  • OR if no internship completed, two (2) years of full-time paid clinical experience post-degree in a residential, clinical, or community-based setting required

• Ability to pass a security clearance, including a drug screening and criminal background check

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range: $21–$25 per hour (depending on experience)

• $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time team members

Schedule:

• Full-Time | Days | Monday – Friday

• 40 hours per week

• No weekends, nights, or holidays
