Evansville Goodwill is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Assistant Manager to join our Donated Goods Retail team in Tell City, IN. In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, maximize revenue, and foster a positive, mission-driven workplace. This position offers the opportunity to lead, mentor, and make a difference—both for your team and the community we serve.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily store operations, including scheduling, cash handling, audits, and supply ordering.

Supervise, train, and develop team members to ensure excellent customer and donor experiences.

Oversee product flow, including sorting, pricing, stocking, and ensuring merchandise rotation.

Maintain store standards for branding, safety, security, and cleanliness.

Track and report key performance indicators (sales, donor counts, payroll, deposits).

Participate in community engagement events and support Goodwill initiatives.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and customers.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency preferred).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs; team lift or equipment assist for heavier items.
