About the Role

As an Activity Assistant, you’ll play a meaningful part in supporting residents through recreational, social, and wellness-focused programming. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thinks creatively, and is passionate about improving quality of life for seniors. You’ll help plan and lead activities that foster community, joy, and engagement throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Lead meaningful programs by planning, coordinating, and facilitating activities, events, and entertainment for residents.
Encourage participation by promoting upcoming activities and engaging residents to join in.
Adapt activities to meet individual needs based on cognitive and physical abilities to ensure inclusivity.
Prepare activity spaces by organizing materials, supplies, and equipment before each session.
Facilitate and document activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, social gatherings, and individualized support.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred
0–1 years of related experience preferred
Creativity, compassion, and strong communication skills
Ability to work well with residents, families, and care teams
