The Chamber community and all of its friends are invited to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Ruger Rue’s Lodge, a new premier dog boarding facility, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 1416 Bristow Saint Meinrad Road.
Owned and operated by young entrepreneur Katelyn Wilkerson, Ruger Rue’s Lodge brings a thoughtful, high-quality approach to pet care in the region. Katelyn is also the owner of Benelli’s Grooming Salon, located at 21040 Culver Road in Saint Meinrad, allowing her to conveniently offer on-site grooming services in close proximity to the new boarding facility.
Ruger Rue’s Lodge is designed with both pets and their owners in mind, offering a safe and comfortable environment. Features include 24/7 camera monitoring, a spacious indoor play area, and a 120-foot fenced outdoor play yard. The facility follows a household-only turnout approach, ensuring dogs are only let out with those from the same home, creating a more controlled and stress-free experience.
Additional services include medication support, on-site grooming, and a leash-free environment that allows dogs to move and play freely. The lodge currently houses 16 kennels in a variety of sizes: small, medium, large, and extra-large, with plans for future expansion.
Business hours are Monday through Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing flexibility for pet owners with varying schedules.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m., followed by an open house until 1:00 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility, enjoy refreshments and snacks, register for a giveaway basket, and meet and speak with the owner.

This event is open to Chamber members and the general public; all are encouraged to attend and help welcome Ruger Rue’s Lodge to the community and into the Chamber of Commerce.
