About

Join us for a one-hour informational session hosted by Dementia Friends Indiana to explore the question:
“What Makes You a Dementia Friend?”

🌟 What is a Dementia Friend?

You become a Dementia Friend by attending this one-hour discussion to learn:

  • What dementia is

  • What it’s like to live with dementia

  • Simple ways to support someone living with the disease

This is not a training session. Instead, you’ll gain understanding and commit to a small, practical action that helps someone in your community—every action counts!

🗣 What Happens in the Session?

Led by a Dementia Friends Champion, the session covers:

  • Understanding dementia and its impact

  • Communication tips

  • Real-life perspectives on living with dementia

No prior knowledge or personal connection to dementia is required.

🌍 About Dementia Friends

Dementia Friends is a global movement, started by the Alzheimer’s Society in the UK, now active across Indiana and the U.S. The goal is to change how people think, act, and talk about dementia—one conversation at a time.
