The Branchville Correctional Facility, a medium-security institution, is seeking a Stores Clerk to oversee the ordering, stocking, and distribution of goods and supplies within the facility’s commissary. The role involves inventory control, vendor coordination, and supervising incarcerated individuals who assist with commissary operations.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage storage procedures efficiently. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working within a correctional facility setting and ensuring compliance with security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and track inventory for the facility’s commissary, ensuring accurate stock levels.
• Oversee supply orders, verify received shipments, and address discrepancies with vendors.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of stock, including perishable items, to maintain compliance with state regulations.
• Supervise incarcerated individuals assigned to the commissary, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, disbursements, and inventory levels.
• Support warehouse operations, including transporting supplies as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma required, or 1+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehousing.
• Ability to work in a correctional environment, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screenings.
