As a Sales Intern, you will work closely with our sales, administrative, and logistics teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of sales objectives and the building materials industry. This role provides hands-on experience with customer interaction, project management, and cross-departmental collaboration, helping you develop the skills needed for a successful career in sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist full-time sales, administrative, and logistics teams as needed.
- Learn and support the administrative processes of the business through hands-on tasks.
- Communicate effectively by taking detailed messages and providing timely updates.
- Collaborate with multiple departments on special projects and initiatives.
- Educate internal and external stakeholders about our products, services, and features.
- Optimize the buyer journey and measure product feature adoption.
- Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and site visits.
- Travel to various company sites to lend support as directed by management.
Special Projects:
- Conduct site visits to evaluate processes and operations.
- Perform customer interviews and surveys to gather actionable insights.
Other Requirements:
- Display professionalism and courtesy to coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Show a willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance and adhere to workplace schedules.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Sales or Marketing from an accredited college or university.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in performing basic calculations, computing rates, and creating reports with visual elements such as bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to a variety of situations with limited standardization.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, climbing, and handling objects.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme heat or cold.
- Noise levels are typically quiet but may vary depending on the worksite.
