Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver

Mulzer Crushed Stone, Inc.—a CRH Company and the Tri-State’s leading supplier of aggregate materials—is seeking a Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver to support operations in Tell City, Indiana. As part of a company known for quality, safety, and customer service, you will operate a concrete mixer truck to load, transport, and unload ready-mixed concrete to customer job sites. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Drive mixer truck under loading hopper and receive required materials

• Deliver ready mix concrete to job sites safely and efficiently

• Operate truck levers and controls to discharge concrete

• Assist customers with placing and spreading concrete as needed

• Clean mixer drum and truck to prevent concrete buildup

• Spray protective compounds on surfaces to reduce concrete adhesion

• Assemble and position concrete chutes for proper placement

• Perform pre-trip inspections and monitor tires, brakes, lights, fluid levels, and equipment condition

• Keep truck clean, maintained, and DOT-compliant

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies

• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation

• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and coworkers in a professional manner

• Work independently and support co-workers as needed

• Be available for night or weekend work when required

• Adhere to all Mulzer and CRH safety practices and company policies

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in driving or construction environments helpful but not required

Licensure & Certifications:

• Valid Class B CDL required

• Must pass a DOT physical and substance test

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

• Basic ability to read, interpret, and complete documentation

• Ability to apply basic math skills

• Ability to troubleshoot common plant or equipment issues

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and operate equipment

• Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to weather, dust, chemicals, noise, and vibrations

• Keen vision and hearing abilities required
