About the Role
The Program Manager II is responsible for directing the overall execution of assigned aerospace programs throughout their full lifecycle in alignment with Parker Aerospace’s Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) process. This role serves as the primary customer interface and ensures programs meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance objectives.
The Program Manager II collaborates closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality products, support aftermarket programs, and resolve in-service issues. This position plays a critical role in supporting new business proposals and driving long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution

Direct all aspects of assigned programs to meet contract cost, schedule, and performance requirements

Develop, maintain, and execute the Program Management Plan

Integrate technical, commercial, and supply chain activities into a Master Program Schedule

Monitor program performance through reviews, reports, and customer presentations
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary company representative and customer point of contact

Support resolution of technical and commercial in-service issues

Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure expectations are met or exceeded
New Business & Proposal Support

Support marketing and business development by contributing program management sections of proposals

Collaborate with marketing post-award to define strategy for follow-on business
Risk, Cost & Schedule Management

Identify, prioritize, and manage program risks and issues

Develop mitigation plans and recovery strategies
-
Allocate and control program budgets and monitor actual vs. planned costs

Prepare and present program status updates to leadership and customers
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Identify and secure program team members in coordination with Division and Functional Leaders

Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, scheduling, and supply chain teams

Perform special assignments as required
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree required (engineering or technical field preferred)

PMP certification required (typically within 6 months of assignment)

Advanced degree (MS/MBA) and additional certifications (PgMP, PMI-RMP) preferred
Experience
-
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
-
Recent experience in a manufacturing environment required

Background in project engineering, manufacturing, or scheduling preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously

Effective communicator and motivator

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in MS Project, SAP, and other PC-based tools

Ability to travel as required
Work Authorization & Compliance
This position must meet U.S. Export Control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen.
