Production Control Operator

About the Role

As a Production Team Member, you will support manufacturing operations by running machines, inspecting parts, packaging finished goods, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. This position requires accuracy, teamwork, and a commitment to safety. You will work across multiple areas of production and follow standardized procedures to help maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Machine Operation

• Perform tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor

• Operate and maintain machines according to standardized procedures

• Pack finished goods into correct packaging

• Track hourly production results and report machine status

• Inspect parts and verify measurements within tolerance using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and go/no-go gauges

• Perform regular TQM inspections to keep machines in good working condition

• Identify and contain defective parts; follow the Stop-Call-Wait rule for abnormalities

Quality & Safety

• Follow established work procedures for running machines and inspecting parts

• Monitor product quality throughout production

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Notify group leader or supervisor of any safety, mechanical, or production issues

Teamwork & Flexibility

• Work collaboratively as part of a team

• Be available to work across all production areas as needed

• Adapt to varied work hours, including weekends when required

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Dependable and able to follow direction

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED

• Previous manufacturing experience

Requirements

• Must pass drug/alcohol screening

• Must wear all required PPE

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Lift up to 25 lbs

• Stand for long periods of time

• Bend, stoop, and lift parts to chest height
