We are currently hiring a Full-Time Outpatient/Oncology Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Tell City, IN. About the Role:
The Outpatient/Oncology Staff RN plays a vital role in managing the care of patients receiving outpatient services, including chemotherapy. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in both routine and emergency scenarios. You’ll work closely with physicians and fellow team members to ensure safe, efficient, and personalized care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to outpatient and oncology patients in accordance with physician orders and clinical best practices

• Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy, following all safety protocols

• Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and adjust care plans as needed

• Document patient information accurately and timely

• Respond to medical emergencies with competence and confidence

• Educate patients and families about treatments and care instructions

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate optimal care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana

• Current BLS certification

• Six (6) months of nursing experience preferred

• Chemotherapy administration experience preferred

• Strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient needs efficiently

• Physical stamina for extended periods of walking, standing, and lifting patients using proper body mechanics

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, on-site position located at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, IN. The role requires both mental focus and physical endurance, as well as the ability to navigate emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
